The new sale date for Bonnydale Black Simmentals Twenty Fifth Annual On-Property Bull Sale is Monday 8th March 2021. Due to the sale date change Bonnydale will hold a Pre-Sale Inspection day on Monday 8th February 2021 from 10.00am to 2.00pm. Refreshments and a sausage sizzle will be on offer. Those who can’t make the inspection day are welcome at anytime to inspect the offering.
Bonnydale’s twenty fifth annual bull sale will be a celebration of the stud’s loyal and expanding customer base. Without the strong support from our customers, Australia wide, the Bonnydale program wouldn’t be as successful as it is. Testament to the performance of Bonnydale genetics is the outstanding results customers achieved for their Bonnydale sired Simangus weaners during November and December’s Boyanup weaner sales. Each week well presented Bonnydale sired Simangus weaners featured amongst the top prices with competition fuelled by the growing demand from, feedlots, grass fatteners and increasingly breeding heifers, for these high performance Simangus weaners.
While Bonnydale sired steers are renowned for their performance, it is the Simangus females which are attracting increased attention. There is no substitute for the benefits of hybrid vigour, but the true value lies with maternal hybrid vigour. The enhanced longevity and reproductive efficiency that maternal hybrid vigour brings to the table should not be underestimated. We believe Bonnydale sired Black Simmental females are the right component to really benefit our customer’s profitability.
Our focus continues to be emphasising how the Bonnydale program can enhance profitability by breeding better cattle that are born easily, grow fast, make great daughters that last a long time, produce a calf every year and hang an outstanding carcase. That to us is what it is all about. The Simangus cow is well-balanced, she has longevity, docility, sound structure with maternal power and calving ease, she is close to the perfect cow all while producing a powerful weaner. Combined performance, maternal traits and ability to produce high yielding and marbled carcases is what you get when utilising Bonnydale genetics.
When our customers sell weaners, they say our Black Simmental and Simangus sired calves deliver more muscle and more kilos at weaning than straight British calves. This doesn’t go unnoticed in feedlots or off grass where these cattle produce outstanding carcases. The added bonus, which is gaining rapid attention, is the added benefit of the retained heifers.

Bonnydale’s 25th Annual On-Property Bull sale will feature 80 outstanding Black Simmental and Simangus sires with proven, powerful and predictable genetics backed by science and data. All bulls are DNA Parent Verified and have Genomic Enhanced EPD’s.
The offering will feature six outstanding ET bred sons of new sire CLRS Dividend 405D. These are the only Dividend sons to be offered in Australia and so highly does Bonnydale regard this sire that two sons have been retained for in herd use in WA and Queensland. Two other new USA AI sires to feature outstanding sons are Gibbs Element 3009A and WS Proclamation E202. Bonnydale sires to feature include perennial favourite, RCR Augustus R54, the powerhouse Bonnydale Augustus L84, Bonnydale Nashville, Bonnydale Nevada, Bonnydale Nukara, Bonnydale SA Matauri, Bonnydale Prime Cut, Bonnydale Patriot and Angus sire Millah Murrah Klooney.
